The Broken Arrow

RV Park & Camping

This private resort is nestled along Highway 93, near the border of Idaho and Montana. It is just a short drive up the North Fork of the Salmon River, on the edge of the largest wilderness area in the continental United States.

We are located on the Lewis and Clark Trail where the Corps of Discovery headed up from the Salmon Valley into Montana, still in search of a passage over the daunting mountains between them and the sea.

We have RV hookups  with very spacious sites and easy pull-throughs. You'll have plenty of shade, fresh drinking water, sewer and electric.

The Broken Arrow features lots of tent camping spaces with plenty of privacy and shade, community fire pit, bathrooms and hot showers.

Broken Arrow is proud to host an annual "Blue Grass Jam Session and Camp Out," the weekend after Labor Day.  The camp out was started in 1995 by a group of blue grass musicians from Salmon, that frequently play at the Broken Arrow.

The fantastic food, smiling faces, and friendly people create a "down home" atmosphere that musicians can't resist.  Starting on Friday and sometimes lasting until Tuesday, musicians from Montana and Idaho, meet to play a variety of music from old time fiddle tunes, country classics, to blue grass, all day and most of the night.  It has been said that "some pickers never sleep."

Upon arrival at the camp out, you find at times, several different groups of musicians of all ages, under shade trees or awnings playing their favorite tunes or learning new ones in a relaxed, carefree setting.  It is entertainment at its finest.
